Ogechi Dorathy Ugwu is the Deputy Managing Director of Nemel Pharmaceuticals Limited. She holds a bachelor degree with honors in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and MBA in management from the University of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire United Kingdom in 2005 & 2015 respectively.

She attended several management development programmes both locally and internationally. Oge has wealth of knowledge in human management & welfare. She is a graduate member Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).

Oge continues to work full-time alongside her husband while raising their six lovely children together.

Charles Okafor

Charles Okafor
Research & Production Manager

Charles Okafor graduated from University of Nigeria, Nsukka attaining a B.Pharm in Pharmacy. He also interned at National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu as an intern pharmacist. He says he learnt a lot about research while serving as an intern but it was love and passion for this occupation that led him to obtain an M. Pharm (Masters in Pharmacy) degree at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2017.

He’s a big football fan and a devoted Chelsea FC supporter but in his spare time he loves reading books and playing chess. He often jests about being a chess grand master but we will have to wait for the future to know.

Charles is a licensed Pharmacist who has been with Nemel Pharmaceuticals Limited since 2014 as a Production Pharmacist and because of his impressive work and consistency he was promoted to the position of Production Manager in August the next year.

Outside the office he is a funny guy with a great sense of humour who believes that “Loving what you do is a key factor in building ones carrier, but in all you do put family first because family love is fuel that balances the soul”.

Harrison Onwuchekwa

Harrison Onwuchekwa is a dedicated business developer who believes that “Hard work would take you places that talent would not”. This ideology has given him a drive to continuously push himself to the limit to achieve any goal he sets for himself.

He studied at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka where he achieved an EMBA in Business Administration, prior to that he got a Bsc in Applied Microbiology and Brewing from ESUT (Enugu State University of Science and Technology). He started his carrier life with Crowther Pharmaceuticals as Sales Representative and gained more knowledge in sales when he was at May & Baker Nig Plc.

He is passionate about learning, researching and most importantly Winning.

Nwodo Chioma

Nwodo Lilian Chioma
Production Pharmacist

Nwodo Lilian Chioma is a licenced pharmacist who gained her B.Pharm (Barchelors in Pharmacy) from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She also interned at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital. She currently enrolled in a fellowship programme on drug production and quality assurance with West Africa College of pharmacist at the same time she has her Master’s Degree programme on Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology in view.

Lilian while not at work enjoys listening to music and watching movies as she says these forms of relaxation helps her find balance.

Her ability to pay attention to details has seriously helped boost the quality of production and has also solidified her as an asset to nemel.


Mbaneme Nwabuogo Ariike
Head, Quality Management System

Mbaneme is an active member of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group Association of Nigeria (PMG-MAN) where she serves as a member of the Industry Capacity Data Collection Committee for Nigeria. She believes that “Without continual growth and progress such words as improvement, achievement and success have no meaning”. This ideology is what has fueled her inner drive to constantly strive to reach new milestones with every opportunity she gets.

She studied at University of Lagos where she gained her B.Pharm (Bachelors in Pharmacy), M. Pharm (Masters in Pharmacy) in Pharmaceutics at the University of Nigeria. PDDDP in Drug Discovery, Development and Production at the University of Ibadan & Kilimanjaro School of Pharmacy, Tanzania. She is currently running her Ph.D in Pharmaceutics at the University of Nigeria.

Her passion is to create new science to decrease the production cost and increase global access to Quality Assured medicines. She also has extensive, hands-on knowledge of drug formulations, current Good Manufacturing, current Good Laboratory & Distribution Practice (cGMP, GLP & cGDP)) and how to write Regulatory submissions.

She is passionate about learning, researching and most importantly Winning.
