Key Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze chemical and physical properties using various laboratory equipment and techniques (e.g., HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR).
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all test results, analyses, and investigations.
- Prepare and submit reports on quality trends and test deviations.
- Ensure all products meet regulatory and company-specific standards (e.g., NAFDAC, WHO, and cGMP).
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to strictly adhere to manufacturing protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Work closely with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Research & Development teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss quality improvements.
Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc, Bsc/ HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, or Science Laboratory Technology.
- Should have at least 3 years cognate experience in pharmaceutical Industry/ Drug production
Skills and Qualities:
- Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers).
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and ISO standards.
- Analytical skills for interpreting complex data.
- High level of accuracy and thoroughness in testing and documentation.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and liaising with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with other departments.
